Neo Industrial's first industrial segment is Cable. The importance of electricity and information transfer increases constantly in the world as new applications and innovations are introduced in industry, at home and in workplaces. Cables are needed anywhere where electricity and data are transferred, for instance in building infrastructure and data communication networks.
Neo Industrial invested in the cable business in 2007 by acquiring Reka Cables Ltd. Later that same year, Neo Industrial acquired a share of Nestor Cables Ltd that manufactures fibre optic cables.
In August 2008, Neo Industrial acquired a majority share of the Russian OAO Expokabel in order to strengthen Neo's Russian business operations. Russia holds great growth potential for cable business. There is a large number of small companies on the market, which may enable Neo Industrial to rise among the biggest cable manufacturers by acquisitions.
